Welcome to Nuke The Fridge, a blog that’s run by Samarth Narayanan. I’m Samarth, hi, nice to see you here.

Firstly, let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a law student. I’ve always written about things that intrigue me, and I’ve sort of built up a reserve of content that I’ve managed to have published in a bunch of different places. The weird thing is, I have this whole academic side to my writing, where I pay attention to grammar, syntax, citation and all of that stuff, and I try to keep all of that in mind when I write about the kind of stuff that people conventionally say, “actually matters”. At the same time, there’s this other side of me that tries very hard to romanticise the mundane aspects of our lives. This is all about poetry, pop culture, and the everyday things we come into contact with. I’ve never managed to find a place that allows me to write about both these things and categorise them, structure them, in an easy to fathom way. That’s what this blog intends to achieve.

I’ve already sort of put together everything that I’ve written in the past, and I’ll simply be posting these continuously whenever I find the time. This could sort of be like an official portfolio of my art. At the same time, I’ll also be putting up the content that I have no other place for. Check out the menu bar to find whatever intrigues you. Furthermore, as I shall mostly be reproducing the articles I have written for other publications on this blog, I shall be specifying the date and linkage of the original publication.
